BAY AREA POST-BLACK METAL BAND BOSSE-DE-NAGE ANNOUNCE ‘FURTHER STILL’

San Francisco post-black-metal band Bosse-de-Nage has announced its follow-up to 2015’s whiplashing LP All Fours. Titled Further Still, this new album marks a bold diversion from Bosse-de-Nage’s typically sprawling arrangements in favor of airtight, propulsive song structures. Deliberately succinct and fuming, the grip of nine new tracks finds Bosse-de-Nage pitting their unique lyrical structures against hairpin turning melodies.

ENIGMATIC BAY AREA DUO MAMLEEK ANNOUNCE NEW ALBUM + PREMIERE SONG

San Francisco-based black metal weirdos Mamaleek are set to release Out of Time, their fifth full-length album and second for The Flenser. Musically, Mamaleek stands apart from the Bay Area’s most well-known black metal exports (Weakling, Leviathan, et al), and their connection to the genre grows more abstract with each release. This is especially evident on Out of Time, where the band has intensified their unique approach to heavy music with a variety of unusual samples—such as crooning from Turkish concerts, advertisements for items that long exist, and fragments of old pop songs.

BIRDS IN ROW (DEATHWISH) STREAM NEW TRACK, “WE COUNT SO WE DON’T HAVE TO LISTEN”

On their new album, We Already Lost the World (due out July 13th on Deathwish), French post-hardcore/punk band Birds In Row offer something of substantial weight. Collectively carrying somber hearts and poignant souls, Birds In Row navigate through melancholic seas to shape beautifully hook-laden songs. One of those songs has premiered today; album opener “We Count So We Don’t Have To Listen” is streaming now via Metal Injection - listen here.
