What is the main art form that influenced you in creating? Was it only music or did movies and other forms of art influence your creative process? As far as visual arts, mostly movies and photographs I’d say. Everything that contributes to creating a specific atmosphere, music still being the biggest factor though.
What is your idea of perfect happiness? A balance between a clean conscience (giving it your all on projects you’re working on, not being lazy and inconclusive) and fun (doing the things I like to do just for the heck of it).
What is the perfect time of day and weather that makes you creative? Probably during the day when it’s rainy and grey.
What is your idea of perfect happiness? A fireplace, a Juno-60, a bunch of recorded VHS with white tape full of crossings out. Eventually a NES. My mother own a place like this. What do you consider your greatest achievement? What is your greatest fear? I haven't achieved it yet. Being too old to achieve it.
What do you consider your greatest achievement? That I’ve survived this long!
What do you consider the most important traits that a song and an album must have before you consider it to be completed? The songs have to tell a story. Take the listener on a journey. What are the actual steps that you take when you are creating? Do you need to enter or go to a certain setting in order to get creative? It usually starts off with a melody hook or a riff. Then we build the song off of that. Whatever’s triggering the idea, whether it’s a beat, guitar riff or a synth chord. Then we’ll start puzzling the song together.
What is your greatest regret? Not learning sooner that it’s okay to be myself.
What is your main motivation to create and be creative? I think it's one of the most important things to do in today's climate. Tribalist and isolationism are in fashion again and artists have a duty to break down barriers and bring people together with base emotion.
