‘LIFE METAL’ BY SUNN O))) STREAMING IN ITS ENTIRETY AHEAD OF APRIL 26 RELEASE DATE

Following the Record Store Day release of Life Metal last Saturday, Sunn O))) are thrilled to stream the album via NPR’s First Listen. Additionally, Southern Lord are proud to make the album available on CD and LP formats via their stores today, ahead of the official digital, LP and CD release date on April 26th. Life Metal is available for pre-order now directly via the Sunn, Southern Lord and Southern Lord Europe stores.

SUNN O))): Life Metal To See Record Store Day Release + NYC Listening Session Tomorrow

SUNN O))) releases their first new album in four years, the Steve Albini-engineered Life Metal, through Southern Lord as part of Record Store Day tomorrow, Saturday, April 13th. This special release of the album sees Life Metal as one of the official and highlighted RSD titles (#RSD19), and lets fans purchase the album one week before the label and band direct version of the record is available, and two weeks ahead of the album’s official retail release. SUNN O))) PREPARE FOR U.S. TOUR; ANNOUNCE NEW SHOWS IN CHICAGO, PITTSBURGH AND NYC LISTENING SESSION

Sunn O))) have revealed a U.S. listening session in addition to their events in London and Paris in the lead up to the release of Life Metal (April 26th, Southern Lord). Confirmed for April 13th, the Brooklyn-based listening session will take place at Future Space in collaboration with Southern Lord Recordings and The Tinnitus Music Series. The experience will feature a tower of loudspeakers, engulfing walls of fog, and throbbing color. A congregation of guests are invited to traverse the outer zones of consciousness and expanses of the cosmos through sound/time and sound/energy. This event is free, open to the public and available on a first come, first serve basis. RSVP now.

SUNN O))) REVEAL INFORMATION ABOUT A SPECIAL RECORD STORE DAY RELEASE OF ‘LIFE METAL’

Sunn O))) are pleased to collaborate with Record Store Day (#RSD19) to release Life Metal for the first time on CD and vinyl (US) & vinyl (UK/EU) on April 13th via USA/UK/EU indie retail. April 26th marks the official release date of the CD, digital and all other vinyl via Southern Lord, and CD and LP will be available to order fro Sunn O))) and Southern Lord stores on April 19th.

Sunn O))) are pleased to present Life Metal, their first new studio album in four years, due for release on Southern Lord in April 2019. The album will be supported by their first U.S. tour since 2017 and the premier U.S. tour of their 2019-2020 season, including stops at The Masonic Lodge in Detroit, Howard Theatre in DC, Agora Theatre in Cleveland, The Caves in Pelham, TN and Brooklyn Steel.
