GOUGE AWAY SHARE “GHOST,” ANNOUNCE EXTENSIVE TOURING IN N. AMERICA & ABROAD See them on the road with Culture Abuse, Drug Church & more this Fall in support of Burnt Sugar, out September 28th via Deathwish Inc.

"Having tested their mettle on the underground circuit, Florida's Gouge Away are ready for the big leagues." - Revolver Magazine
“…fuses the battering-ram fury of today’s hardcore underground with the skronky heaviness of ’90s noise-rock. It promises great things." - Stereogum

Floridian punks Gouge Away will release their Deathwish debut, Burnt Sugar, on September 28th.  Today, the band has announced extensive worldwide touring in support of it; first, an East Coast run alongside Culture Abuse followed by a UK tour together.  Upon their return to the States, Gouge Away will head back out on the road in November, this time with Drug Church.  The tour will take the bands from the West Coast, through the Midwest, eventually ending back in Gouge Away’s home state.  Look for detailed tour information below.

Burnt Sugar was mixed and mastered by Jack Shirley (Deafheaven, Oathbreaker) and co-produced by Jeremy Bolm (Touche Amore).  The album’s dynamic second single, “Ghost,” showcases a different side of the album; vulnerable vocals are coupled with introspective lyrics, resulting in an angular and nuanced track that still manages to pummel through all time and space in its wake.

Listen to and share “Ghost” now via YouTube.

Taking cues from bands such as Unwound, The Jesus Lizard, and Fugazi, Gouge Away carry with them a lightning-in-a-bottle urgency that imbues their sound; this is a band that refuses to be ignored.  Pre-order Burnt Sugar here and see Gouge Away on the road this Fall (tickets on sale this Friday, August 31):
